It is my pleasure to bring to you a unique concept in homeschool curriculums.  Until now it has been difficult to find law and civics classes geared toward homeschool students.  My goal is to present a practical and real life view to law and civic issues that our children will not only be faced with in the future, but for some, are in the throws of right now.

In the near future, time yet unknown, I will have ready for your use, 2 eight-week studies.  One on civil law, the other on criminal law.  The civil law study will go in depth on the workings of our civil justice system, both in private life as well as in business.  The study on criminal law will attack the issues our criminal justice system deals with today and the impact that it has on our country and our children. 

Who am I that I should care or even have a say on this topic?  My name is Ed and I have been a police officer in the St. Louis, Missouri area for over 15 years.  I am also a homeschooling husband and father of seven awesome children.  I have been looking for a good homeschool curriculum to teach law and civics to my children, but have been unsuccessful to this point.  I have found resources for teaching the United States Constitution, which is helpful, but nothing that gives a full rounded education in the practical aspects of law.  And, I have an advantage, law and homeschooling are my passions, therefore I can offer a unique perspective that is true to life and geared toward the needs of our homeschooled students that can not be found in a text book.  For a view of my resume, click here.
